Report of Annual General Meeting

The Annual General Meeting was held on March 13 2012. The important items to report are as follows:
Junior members are to be excused an annual fees but will still be required to pay a meeting fee for each meeting attended.
The financial situation requires more members to be attracted to the club.
The Treasurer and Chairman swapped positions for the 2012/2013 club year.
The candlestick challenge attracted a good selection of entries. The winner was Cliff Hurley and the runner up was Ian Lodge.
A challenge was set for the June 2012 Hands on meeting to make a goblet.

Steve Heeley's Challenge Feb 2012

Professional turner Steve Heeley turned a candlestick and an acorn during his demonstration to the February 2012 meeting.
Steve set all members a challenge to reproduce the candlestick and bring it to the next meeting in March where it will be judged by Bob Saunders. The best turned and finished candlestick following the form of the item Steve demonstrated will be awarded a prize.
The March meeting is on Tuesday 13th and will be both the AGM and a hands-on evening.
