2018 AGM at March Meeting

Saturday, 21 April 2018

15 Club members were present for the meeting.

Chairman’s Report

The Chairman open the meeting with concerns about the future of the club and current level of membership.

Treasures Report

A copy of the report had been circulated before the meeting, the report listed all of the financial details of income and expenditure for the last 12 months and was accepted by the members.
The overall view of the Treasure was that with membership not increasing but, liable to reduce, the finances of the club needed to be reviewed, given that income was likely to reduce and costs were increasing.

Secretary’s Report

Thanks, was given to the members who had contributed by giving time or demonstrations over the last 12 months.
The number of members who came to club meetings over the las 12 months was outlined, this was linked to the financial report confirming the reduction in income.

The Treasure and Secretary gave the notice that they were to resign at the end of the meeting.
There was a lengthy discussion about the ways that income could be raised including: -
1:-        Yearly amount paid for subs at the start of the year.
2:-        Staged subs i.e. subs paid every 3 months
3:-        Increase of subs
The members decided to maintain the subs as they are and review later in the year.
Methods of recuting new members was discussed and Chris Clay volunteered to produce a face book page.

The meeting finished with a vote confirming that Brian Pearce would be the new Treasurer, and Angus Stuart would be the new Secretary.
