The City of Wolverhampton Woodturners meet on the second Tuesday of each month at 6.45pm for a 7pm start at Fallings Park Methodist Church and Community Centre, Wimborne Road, Wolverhampton, WV10 0NN.

Hands on evenings are arranged with our 3 lathes available so that members can show, discuss or ask advice on any turning related matter.

Meetings regularly feature visiting demonstrators, please see the annual schedule for our current programme. Visitors are always welcome and the first visit is FREE. Membership is £15 per year and £5 per visit.

It was a Hands on session and an artical was published in the Express And Star on the 11 April.

The hands on was a great success, Kim brought her lathe so we had 4 lathes working.The photographer from the Express and Star arrived at 7:30 and photographed a selection of the many items on the display tables.

At the meeting the Chairman, (Jim Wooton) and Secretary (Angus Stuart) resigned, a new Chairman Mr. Nigel Shenton was elected, there was no Secretary elected, Angus Stuart will remain as Secretary untill after the next meeting on the 9th of April.The meeting on the 9th of April will be an extraordinary general meeting to elect a new Secretary.

12th February 2019 Doug Rochester's demo on natural edge vase

Doug's demo when well, he talked about the setting up of the wood, the rough turned it it to a cylinder.
He brought along part turned and finished examples of bowl's and other items which he had completed.

Paul's demo covered how to evaluate risk's and how to turn the flask, stopper and seal the inside.
